Hotel Miracosta. This hotel is a dream. It takes you away to a fantasy place filled with romance, beauty and adventure. In my opinion, this hotel is the best Disney hotel in TDR and I am excited for my wife and daughter, as this will be their first time staying in this hotel. For me, I’m just happy that I don’t have to take the train for about 2 hours to get back home. That trying journey will be postponed to the next day, after our adventure at Tokyo Disneysea.
I remember when my Mum and Dad brought my sisters and I to TDR more than ten years ago. Tokyo Disneysea had just opened. I remember, walking around Mediterranean Harbor, looking up to The Miracosta and telling my family that I will stay in that hotel one day. Dreams do come true. Walking through the entrance with my daughter in my arms, hand in hand with my wife felt awesome.

We checked in and was shown to our room. The room was insanely beautiful. Hotel Miracosta was inspired by Italian architecture with a little Disney magic in mind. You’ll get a lot of little Pinocchio and his friends lurking around in your room. The furniture, carpet, sheets, everything was really beautiful in this room, but the highlight of this room was definitely the view!!! Having a bottle of wine with the windows slightly open, TDS background music sipping into the room, looking at Mediterranean Harbor with Mount Prometheus at a distance made me feel special. I will never forget that feeling. This hotel is pure beauty.

As I sipped my last bit of wine, I smiled to myself knowing that I will take little Mahina on her first trip to the best theme park in the world, the very next day. The world is my oyster and I am ready for it.

I will be going to Tokyo in 2 weeks and I managed to book a Porto Paradiso side superior room harbour view.
I would like to ask you, was the view of Mt Prometheus straight ahead of you when you looked out of your window? Or was it somewhat slanted? Did you get a view of the whole Mt Prometheus?
I noted that there are 2 different prices for the same type of superior room harbour view. Would you be able to remember if your room was the cheaper and more expensive one?

Our view of Mount Prometheus was slanted. We could see the whole of Mount Prometheus, but it was not straight ahead of us. I think that all Porto Paradiso side superior harbour room`s views will allow you to view Mount Prometheus and definitely Fantasmic. The more expensive plan will allow for you to have a more direct view of Mount Prometheus and a better view of Fantasmic.
We used our Disney Vacation Club to book our room, so I have no idea if we got the more expensive one or not. If I were to make an educated guess, I would think that we got the cheaper of the two price plans. I hope this helps you and I would love to hear about your trip when you get back. My husband and I are really excited about our upcoming trip too! And it has been an uphill task trying to book a Superior Room Harbour view at the Miracosta (the reservation process is really quite competitive!) but we are very happy we finally managed to! We will also be staying a night at the Tokyo Disneyland hotel.
May I find out from you please, the entrance that allows Miracosta guest to enter Tokyo Disneysea 20minutes earlier, is it found within the hotel itself? I read that there are 2 entrances Miracosta guest can use, and the one that allows the early entry is NOT the one in the hotel itself, but is actually next to the regular park entrance. Is that right? I won’t want to be queuing up at the wrong entrance! Have you ever dined at the Oceano restaurant at Miracosta? If so, would you recommend it?
I am also interested in dining at the Queen of Hearts Banquet Hall like you did. Is there any priority seating for this restaurant? (I couldn’t find it online.)
Finally, any tips on where is the best vantage points to catch the shows/ parades/ fireworks at Tokyo Disneysea and Disneyland? (We will try your suggested tip on how to take a photo of Cinderella castle and the mickey mouse statue while lying down on our backs. :P)

Thanks so much for the comment. I am happy to help out. Apologies for being late on a reply though. Been real busy recently.
1) For early entry to Disneysea, you can’t use the entrance that’s located in the hotel. You have to use the main entrance to Disneysea. There’s a line for early entry at the main entrance to Disneysea.
2) I’ve never dined at Oceano restaurant, but I’ve tried the Silk Road Garden. I really liked that restaurant. A word of advice. Both Oceano and Silk Road Garden have a “Fantasmic” Course. Head to the restaurant before Fantasmic show time, order the course, when the show starts you will be allowed to go to the balcony of the Oceano restaurant to watch Fantasmic. Great view!!! You get to have a great dinner and enjoy a great show.
3) There is no priority seating in Queen of Hearts Banquet Hall.
4) For Fantasmic, refer to bullet point 2. I don’t really stake out a spot to watch the parades. A lot of people here will actually sit and “reserve” a spot hours before the parade. For Disneyland, I normally head to the Haunted Mansion, watch the parade from there as that is where the parade starts and get in line for Haunted Mansion right after. AS for Disneysea, I will just stand around Mamma’s Biscoti Bakery. There’s a fountain just outside the bakery. I would just sit there and watch the parade.
