Tokyo Disneyland Hotel – Corner Room (Jan 2013 Trip Report Part 1)

It was Mahina’s 1st trip to Disney. A 2 night stay at TDR with the 1st being a stay at Tokyo Disneyland Hotel and the 2nd, a night in The Miracosta. My wife was also really excited about this trip as it was going to be her first time in a Disney hotel. As we approached The Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, a gush of Disney Magic blew our way. Disney mode began taking effect on the whole family. The hotel looked really beautiful from the outside. The smile on my wife’s face as she looked towards the hotel made me fall in love with her all over again. At the back of my mind, I knew that this trip was going to be special.

We walked up to the reception area, checked in and was told that our room had been upgraded from a standard room to a corner room. Mahina’s a lucky girl. 1st ever trip to Disney and she got an upgrade. A beautiful start to a beautiful trip. We collected our key cards and headed to our room, all smiles. What we saw next, took our breathe away.

THE ROOM WAS HUGE!!! It was a really gorgeous room. Disney is well known for it’s attention to detail and they did a stellar job with this hotel room. The room is really elegant and it keeps up with the hotel’s Victorian style. You will also be able to find a bit of Disney magic sprinkled around the room.

One thing that I am really particular about hotel rooms is the toilet area. Japanese rooms have the tendency of placing the toilet and bath in a really tiny room. If you’re not Japanese or a contortionist, you might find that really uncomfortable. Don’t you fear, Disney got this sorted out. All 3 Disney hotels in TDR have separate rooms for the toilet and the bathroom. Both of those rooms are spacious too. You could take a dump and not worry about getting a claustrophobic panic attack.

With all that being said, my favorite part of this room has not been mentioned in this report. WHAT!!! THERE IS MORE?!! Yes!! The view from our room was spectacular. We could see Tokyo Disneyland and watch the fireworks from our room. Simply magical.

Tokyo Disneyland Hotel is a beautiful hotel. It’s one of my favorite hotels in TDR. It comes in a close second compared to The Miracosta in my opinion. I would recommend this hotel to families especially if you have a daughter. There is a princess like feel to this hotel. There is even The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique on the ground level which will do up your daughter’s hair, make up and dress her up to be a princess for a day. Next up, Mahina’s first day in a Disney theme park. Stay tuned!!!

  1. Hi,
I’m from Belgium and I was wondering how you got your luggage from Tokyo Disneyland Hotel to Miracosta ?
Did the staff transfer it or did you have to leave in a storage ?
It will be our first visit this summer and I really enjoyed your reviews, very helpful !

    • Hey there Maxime. Thanks for the comment and the kind words. Just inform the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel staff about your situation and they will move you baggage for you to The Miracosta. No worries there. Hope this helps. Cheers.
